Karachi Police's chief office came under terrorist attack on Friday
KARACHI- on Friday evening Karachi faced a massive terrorist
attack in Police chief Office near Saddar, as a result, a total of 23 were wounded
including 3 militants and a civilian who died at the moment and were referred
to the nearest hospitals. The scene has been cleared.
Three
members of the security forces and a civilian were killed and several other
security force members were wounded, said government officials and Ghulam Nabi
Memon, police chief for Sindh province.
Two suicide
bombers were killed and at least one blew himself up after entering the fourth
floor of a five-floor police building, officials added.
Murtaza
Wahab, a spokesperson to the Sindh government, confirmed that police and
paramilitary forces in a joint operation had cleared the police building within
three hours of the attack late Friday.
ChiefMinister Sindh visited the injured persons from the KPO incident at JPMC &
inquired about their health. He thanked the brave policemen & rangers’
personnel for their bravery & valor shown against the terrorists.

Shahbaz Shareef took notice of the incident and appreciated security forces and
law enforcement agencies in controlling the situation.
According to
Al-Jazeera, Tehreek-e-Taliban
Pakistan (TTP), also known as the Pakistani Taliban, claimed responsibility for
the attack.
